There's herbs and compounds that hasten recovery or mitigate symptoms, but there's no magical cure, and there's no preventative other than isolation from any disease.

Strong, well fed, well cared for people still died throughout the ages.

Sometimes because their "immune" systems were too good and were too aggressive reacting to the virus, bacteria, or whatever triggered the reaction, attacking the entire body rather than just the pathogen.

Sometimes the weakest, apparently sickliest person survived against all odds because they had earlier been exposed to a similar pathogen, and their body knew how to react to the current disease quickly enough to reduce the worst of the damage from the most dangerous symptoms - like a vaccine would.

A Republican in Los Angeles refused to get a covid vaccine because she believed the Biden administration was going to make it mandatory. It did not but she got covid and died. Fox News required everyone who worked in the building get the covid vaccine. Fox News had a policeman on in 2021 who quit the force because it was making getting the vaccine mandatory. Fox News celebrated his independence but four months later the guy died from covid and Fox News never mentioned him again.

She made an "I have an immune system" post at the height of the pandemic. I asked her why she sought chemo and surgery for her breast cancer, since she has an immune system. It turns out some of these people are as ignorant about the role of their own defenses when it comes to malignancies, as they are when it comes to infectious disease.
