After The Shutdown, What's Next?

Please remember, Republicans could have ended the shutdown anytime they wanted, it might have taken a half an hour (see below). But the story everyone hears is that seven Democrats flipped and the shutdown is over.

What does this mean?

For the House and Senate it meant eight weeks of vacation. For Americans, not part of the “vacation class,” it meant weeks of hunger, fear and cruelty were 100% optional. The Republican Party (which controls the House, The Senate, the Supreme Court and the Presidency) could have taken a half an hour and canceled the filibuster for just that one vote. They've done this on multiple occasions. This isn’t a new idea. The only reasons for the shut down were bullying and cruelty.

However I think one major failing, is us! Yes I am referring to we the people.

At the last No Kings rally I saw a lot of No Kings signs, fewer than 1% dealt with making healthcare affordable, almost none of the signs advocated repealing the big bad billionaires bill. And I did not see any signs calling for solving the problems that were created when the big bad billionaires got their tax cuts while the rest of America got squat. Trump even made a video showing what he thinks about the rest of us .

Imagine how votes could go if of our representatives receive 500 more phone calls, 1000 emails, or 200 letters each week. We need to turn up the pressure on our elected representatives. Our involvement makes it much more difficult for them to turn away from their voters actual needs.

Healthcare is a need, once you’re dead you have no needs.

We can't expect our elected leaders to do what we want them to, if we don't tell them what we want them to do! 

Whats the next step? Please, make up your mind to make your voice heard the next time it is needed. Just start simple and commit to calling your Senators [phone] and Representatives [phone].

When/ Why? Please call now to release not just the Epstein files, but to release over 500 gigabytes of video tapes and photographs taken from Epstein’s homes, island, plane, etc.

When enough of us say “enough” we will win.

Expect the next shutdown in January. Because Cruelty is the point, and they know "the peons" have already been depleting their savings and racking up credit card debt to make it from Oct 1 to now.
Pulling the rug out from under Peons again, just as they've just started feeling less stress, is GOP Fun.

4. Not mentioned are the rehire of all the federal employees P2025 screwed.

By the repukes. But Pee2025's goal of destroying the ACA was never going to be screwed for 6% of the people, no matter how long the shutdown would have lasted, and SNAP would have been destroyed completely in the process.

Edited to make clear: The ACA subsidies will be fought for again in the next round, but the SNAP benefits and the troops salaries will not expire before the end of the fiscal year IF the fascist regime led by lil king pedo the felon don't recede them illegally.
