Liz Stein and Jessica Michaels were in the House gallery.

Rep. Grijalva acknowledged and thanked them.

The women were given an ovation.

Congratulations, Rep. Grijalva! You’re finally official! It was absolutely galling for me, that you were held in limbo for so long. Just to keep you from doing the job the voters just recently voted to give you.

Glad the Repubs ran out of time before it somehow became a problem for you!
