for shingles is now covered under Part D drug plans. Increased vaccination coverage was a part of the Inflation Reduction Act. I had the other shingles vaccine but my doctor kept on me to get the Shingrix but it was going to be all out of pocket for me since United Health (Don't) Care wasn't covering it. The two dose run was going to cost me almost $400. Thanks to Joe Biden millions of seniors can now get the better vaccine for no charge. At least that's what my pharmacy told me when they ran it to see if there was a cost or co-pay.

(6,560 posts)Im getting three this week hopefully. Re-boosters of childhood vaccines and then I will get shingrix. I didnt get more for two weeks because I was feeling sick on the weekend like I was getting bronchitis and I had to rest. 3 is going to be a lot for me. I hope its not too much. Just get them before that **** hole RFK jr. gets in charge because we know whats going to happen then
Im sure hell be confirmed.
One of my friends thinks he only got one shingrix, so I told him ask your doctor and see what they say to do.

trump & enablers are getting somewhat stalled now, but something legislatively is coming up in March that I regrettably cannot quote to you. Someone else will know.

(7,211 posts)Shingles is so painful that opioids are prescribed and it takes weeks or sometimes months to go away. And there's no guarantee it won't come back.

(27,021 posts)covered my Shingrix vaccine, years ago for free. Seven, eight, ten years? I got the shots so long ago I no longer remember.
I'm horrified that your plan has taken so incredibly long to cover it.
