Congressional Magat Calls Out Trump For Cutting Funds to His District

Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.), who represents a purple district in the Omaha area, told the Atlantic that Trump's executive order was "alarming," particularly for his constituents, who were counting on $73 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to upgrade Omaha's airport.

"You just can’t determine what laws you want to execute and what you don’t," Bacon said, adding that executive orders from presidents representing both parties have "gotten out of hand."

"“You can’t change the law,” he added. “I think Republicans should stay true to that notion.”

See I posted this and didn't attack any Democrats.

Maybe Democrats should just lay back and let Republicans attack Trump's illegal EO's.

Clearly, he misunderstood what he was signing up for.

The fat orange god-emperor will do as he pleases, and that quote just cost him his seat in a primary challenge, even if he doesn't know it yet.

Call me when he figures it out, and the bowing and scraping and groveling begins.

And I love how they attach bipartisan to things they argued against as a party.

30 repukes voted against the 'bipartisan' infrastructure bill.

About the same for CHIPS.

9. This is exactly what he signed up for. It's not a buffet, you don't get to pick and choose.

You own all of it.
If trump keeps it up, we may have a blue wave in 26. People may not feel the direct hit of not getting the IRA funds, but things like heat assistance during cold months is going to be felt. From what I read, the freeze would not affect individual payments. What about other government funded programs like LIHEAP? That pays for electricity and gas for low income and seniors.
What's the temp in Nebraska today?

Bernie Sanders just blasted Trump's illegal EO that froze funding. Bernie said that Trump isn't a king.

C'mon Dems we need more of the same, call out what Trump has done with his illegal EO's,

MAKE CONGRESSIONAL MAGATS OWN THE FROZEN FUNDS.

Trump just cut funding that was to make improvements to the Omaha airport.

C'mon Dems in Nebraska, shout it out, find microphones, Trump gutted the improvements to the airport.

14. Absolutely, firing the IG's was illegal on so many levels.

Trump was supposed to notify Congress before hand, he didn't.

What is a bit confusing is that several of those IG's were appointed by Trump. Maybe they turned out to be bad fluffers?

I'm assuming he doesn't want any inspectors, period, so no one will so much as ask a question.
