Pulling govt spending even the threat of it

Is a great way to touch off a real bastard of a recession. Couple that with 25% tariffs (sales taxes) on goods and world instability and we are looking at a fucking depression.
Let's not forget the impending AI implosion taking uncountable money out the system, money that probably really didn't exist in the first place.

All of it. At least we aren't totally surprised and were able to prepare.

The bastard is.making promises right and left into areas that are completely absurd. Replacing income tax with sales tax, zeroing out social programs on and on. This is the fucking John Birch society 3.0

And a local council woman.

1. We made sure the FEMA funds for the lowest point in our Borough were secured in early December. Money in the reserve.

2. We budgeted the past year to ensure we could pay our police force and fund equipment entirely out of our pocket (no takesey backsey from Fed Gov if we don't 'comply'.

3. My mom saw this coming at this time last year. She died suddenly in June. After Biden stepped out of the race AND the media continued to sane wash a felon we bought a lot of things. I LISTENED from beyond to what my mom told me. . . Examples:

2 sets of tires for both our vehicles.
Reserve dishwasher (mine is most likely going to die in the next year)
Reserve coffee maker and espresso machine.
Tons of Ball Glass jars and vacuum seal bags
I have a shoebox of seeds
Indoor Greenhouses for our basement
Coffee and Espresso (in second deep freezer)
Buck shot (husband hunts)
Fishing supplies - extra rod and reel just in case
I currently have 6 bags of my dogs specialized dog food - but one is expiring next year - so I'm holding off on that. He's a Maltese so I have a LOT of dog food to last for awhile
We have a solar stove my husband made.
Cheese starter, Yeast, Vacuum packed flour, sugar.
In prep for Bird Flu: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, cleansing supplies, otc meds from Costco

There's a lot more we've done . Oh - and also - my husband just spent two weekends preserving sausages (sopressata, salame, etc. etc.)

My brother and he split 3 bucks they got in November so we have protein to get us through.

Two more things I'm starting to accumulate? Egg substitute and powdered milk.

Medicaid, SS, etc., will not be stopped. I don't doubt that because lots of GOPers benefit from these programs too. But damn, I don't trust her.

Things. A recession happens when the govt stops buying stuff/ funding stuff and then people stop buying stuff.

These 'people' who rail on govt don't realize how much relies on govt spending. All those food stamps go to goods from farmers and big companies like kraft, etc. it is all tied together and they are ripping it apart.

There will reach a point where the final thread is cut and it all collapses without a system to recover.

But Section 8, Head Start, and other community based grant programs that help "those people" - the poors, minorities, single parents, students, homeless, small or family business owners, people on probation or rehab - any type, not just illicit drug rehab - , basic affordability support (utilities, transportation) victim/survivor's support programs, legal access services, or specialized/emergency treatment programs (just off the top of my head) are on the chopping block.
And they blatantly crow about cutting infrastructure and immigrant services.
Because, my friends:
Tax and Regulation Cuts to Benefit Rich Fucks is all the GOP "Stands" for.
But that's too long to put on a red cap.
TARC 4 RF might work, but it doesn't really roll off the tongue like MAGA
