This site is an excellent resource of organizations providing free/low cost legal aid for immigrants/asylum seekers. They have an interactive map for each state and from there you can see a list of groups along with their address and phone numbers as well as the immigration aid they specialize in.

Some of these groups may be able to continue helping if we donate money. They seem to be non-profits. Please keep calling until you find one especially in the states that ICE has been targeting.

The strategy the fascists are employing in cutting off legal aid is to have immigrants/asylum seekers miss filing deadlines for papers, have incorrect or incomplete information on filings, miss court dates etc. so that ICE can then declare them to be "non-compliant", "guilty of a "crime" or "missed their opportunity". They will then round them up on that basis and deport them.

We can help fight the horror and this is one way to do that.

2. Understood but when it is used

as a descriptive insult it is different. People of a certain age understand the use of it and why it gets under the skin of the person targeted. Think of it this way. Someone thinks they are a big deal. The whole cake. But they are nothing but a crumb. Think of B-movies and film noir and you will hear the word used a great deal. For someone like I used it for and growing up where he did he would have heard it a great deal and he knows in his mind how low, worthless and insignificant of a person a crumb is.
