Philip Low finally clears up Elon for me.

Mr. Low has known Elon for a long time, and has cleared up what it is that Elon really wants, and why he thinks throwing Nazi salutes will get him there. What he wants, apparently, is power — specifically, to have more power than Trump. He's competing with him while pretending to support him. And he was thinking that the way to come out on top was to do to Trump what Trump did to the other Republicans: steal the right-wing base by out-Naziing the competition. But he may have found that even for the GOP base there is such a thing as too much Nazi, and Trump was the one who correctly judged just the right amount.

They cover for him. I witnessed it on the site that shall not be named. One said complaining about it is “woke.” I reminded him we won a war against Nazis. There are also pictures of Dems with their hands mid-air. People are claiming it’s no different from Musk. Fact is, they know he’s a Nazi and they love it. They just won’t admit it.

He is a hateful bigot.
I do think that he wants to be the most powerful man in the world, not just the richest. He is a Marvel movie villain personified.

... many of them don't want trumpism to resemble Hitler's version TOO closely. It's closer to a cross between Mussolini's and Putin's, anyway.

He obviously gave an intentional nazi salute. The motivation is internal to Musk. It is also irrelevant.

If it salutes like a Nazi, it’s a Nazi.

If you or his friend have doubts about this, please explain his support for AfD and his featured attendance at the recent AfD conference.

The truth is simple and internal motivations are irrelevant. He's a Nazi.

Elon doesn’t want to be an American oligarch, he intends to be a global oligarch. He does not want to be the president of anyplace, he just wants to control everyplace. Of course he wants power. HOW DID ANYBODY NOT KNOW THIS?
