the Bible literally says to take care of strangers. It doesn't say not bake cakes for gay people.

Catholic Charities is contesting it on grounds of religious freedom (there is a particular law in Texas that strengthens this), but Abbot is saying that feeding the poor is not a proper exercise of religion.
