I think, Mexico could get a good border-deal out of Trump.

Trump doesn't want drugs and immigrants coming in from Mexico.
Mexico doesn't want guns coming in from the US.

There is a great deal Mexico has to offer for Trump:
As soon as Trump shuts down arms-smuggling into Mexico, Mexico will shut down their side of the border.

Oh, wait he cannot do that. The US being the point of origin for arms-smuggling would make him look bad, so he cannot acknowledge that this problem exists. Sooooooo... Blame it on Biden?

Let's say he acknowledges that the problem is real and blames it on Biden. That would still leave him with the problem that now he MUST enact SOME KIND of anti-gun legislation and congressional Republicans would never let him do that. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

They are complicit in the sale of illegal guns, not just passively by opposing anti-gun violence legislation, but actively: they funnel guns into the illicit market deliberately and turn a blind eye. Alongside the gun industry itself, US gun owners juice the illicit market through a variety of tactics, not limited to the omnipresent straw buyers.
