Multiple House Democrats including the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee said Thursday they were the targets of bomb threats.

Why it matters: The development comes after a spate of bomb and "swatting" threats against President-elect Trump's nominees earlier this week – none of which were found to be credible.

-Reps. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) and Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-Ore.), former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) and Pete Hegseth – Trump's picks for U.N. ambassador, labor secretary, EPA administrator and defense secretary, respectively – were among the targets.

Driving the news: "This morning, I was notified of a bomb threat targeting my home where I was celebrating Thanksgiving with my family," top Intelligence Committee Democrat Jim Himes (D-Conn.) said in a statement.

-Himes said that after a "swift and thorough response" from the Capitol Police and Greenwich and Stamford police departments,"no evidence of a bomb was found."

Rep. Jahana Hayes (D-Conn.) said in a statement she was notified Thursday morning by her local police chief of "a threatening email stating a pipe bomb had been placed in the mailbox at my home."
