Food inflation alone in Russia has surged 70% this year. Potato prices up 73% and butter 30%. True inflation since the invasion in 2022 is 71.4%. The official rate is 28%

The current interest rate (return) for savings in Russia is 23% and the prime lending rate is 21%.

The Russian Ruble is already worth 50% less than it was a year ago and Russia’s Central Bank has suspended purchases of foreign currency until the end of the year.

You might think that the people might begin to complain; however, the Russian people have a long history of a high tolerance for suffering.
