Blue state secession? No. Blue state denziens leaving America? Yes.

The goal of the Republican party is to run America like they run red states like Louisiana and Oklahoma. Defunded public schools. Christian nationalist indoctrination. No healthcare. Jobs that pay crap wages. Universities that teach American propaganda, etc. etc. Eventually, the best and the brightest of us will leave the USA just like they currently leave red states for blue states. There's a reason why so many talented people cluster into extremely expensive blue cities like SF, CHI, NYC, LA, Boston. It's because of the opportunities, liberal tolerance of differences, and education.

If these blue cities succumb to being run like red states, then our best, brightest, hardest working people will leave the US as well. There are better countries in the world to live, raise a family, and seek out opportunities. America is about to experience a brain drain like nobody has ever seen before. We already have to import talent from overseas to work in our most demanding industries. That talent won't come to a nation that's outright hostile to immigrants.

As Trump isolates us from the world, the world will move on without us. China is far ahead of us when it comes to EVs. BYD is the world's number one selling EVs, and most Americans don't even know that. They are cheaper and better than Tesla, but it's tariffs that keep them out of the US market. Other countries already surpass us on education and healthcare. Meanwhile, we're bringing back Christian indoctrination into the classroom.

When we lose our most talented people, our industries will suffer, and they will leave as well. Right now, red states offer generous tax incentives for businesses to set up shop in their state. But there's a reason why big tech is in Silicon Valley and not Shreveport, LA. Lack of local talent.

One problem with their thinking. The blue states foot the bill for the red ones. That's why the red states are jealous of the blue ones. If they would shrug off the republicans they could be prosperous. They are creating their own misery and want everyone else to be miserable too.

I'd love to leave but my husband likes his job so we're staying. But we are trying to figure out a way to get my daughter back to Europe (she went to college abroad). My husband is the only one of us with dual citizenship w/another country, unfortunately it doesn't pass down to our kids. I grew up in the Midwest and never imagined leaving this country. But it feels like a different place now, than when i was growing up.

if you are wondering why they keep pushing converting public schools, essentially, into churches. it isn't because they are worried about kids learning about "God". It is because they don't want kids learning about math, science, history, and everything else that eventually creates a well educated LIBERAL American.

Reality had a liberal bias. So get rid of reality.
