Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and other MAGA figures are fuming after Democrat Adam Gray overtook Rep. John Durate (R-CA) in a key race in the House of Representatives.

A batch of recently counted ballots in California's 13th congressional district gave Gray a lead over the incumbent Republican by just over 100 votes.

If Gray holds on, it would give Democrats their 215th seat in the House of Representatives and shrink the Republican majority down to nearly nothing.

"Congressman John Duarte was winning but after 22 days of counting ballots he is now losing by 105 votes," Greene fumed on X. "Democrats are stealing another House seat! Elections nationwide should be one day, paper ballots, and require proof of citizenship with ID!!"

My mail ballot in Indiana consisted of a card and filling in the oval. A machine scans it.

More efficient and accurate than a sheet of paper which a voter fills out. And then they are hand counted by people. With multiple positions to count it takes much longer and there can be counting errors.

It can take weeks for all ballots mailed on or before election day to come in and be cured if there are any problems (damaged, no signature, etc.) so the voter has reasonable time to come fix the issue ("cure" ) after being notified. and people who registered a couple weeks before the election. They say they have to enter all their information into the data base as they count. So it takes longer to count them.

yet the have been in the minority in the House for the last 2 years, will remain in the minority moving forward (for now at least), lost the Senate majority, lost the Presidency and are in the minority in a majority of state legislatures. You would think, if they were stealing elections they'd steal enough to at least be in the majority. I mean, in this election for the House, they would only need to steal 3 more seats. 40. I watched the results in CA for over 2 weeks on a great NBC site that had a map showing where the

estimated remaining votes were coming from, and the map was constantly moving between coastal and inland areas, between blue and red areas, and as batches came in to be counted, the results shifted from one candidate to the other as stronger and weaker areas changed the dynamic count. It's as simple as that but tho MAGA, that's 'cheating.'

At the link you can see the district is literally evenly split between the two candidates, with the northern half going for Gray and the southern half going for Duarte.

It's simply a matter of northern district votes coming in to save the day.
