If Russia nukes Ukraine won't the prevailing winds blow the fallout/radiation into the Russian Federation?

This may have been posted already but if true it makes Putin and Russian leaders look like the "Moran's" they truly strive to be....

Ground hits which do more damage to a small area are the ones that dump fallout.
