(5,942 posts)I don't know about anyone else, but my investment of time and money was substantial. And because I was a supporter, and because I'm asking, I think she should ask for the recounts on our behalf, just to make sure there wasn't cheating that seems pretty obvious.

(37,861 posts)Hey, Stephen, you know who else wouldn't listen? The SEC. This guy, Harry Markopoulos, went before them time after time, even though he originally spotted Madoff's scam in about five minutes.
Yeah, the world is full of people who don't want to listen.
On edit:
Here is a record of Markopoulos' efforts to get the SEC to listen:
--in Spring 1980 he filed a formal complaint with the SEC's Boston office
--After this, he was interviewed by two prominent and highly regarded reporters, one for MARHedge and the other for Barron's. The two writers outlined in scrupulous detail what was going on.
Even Elliot Spitzer, who had money invested with Madoff, ignored the articles.
--Again in 2001, Markopoulos went to the SEC.
Do you think this was easy for him? Well, consider this. There was evidence the Russian mob and the South American gangs had involvement in these schemes. Anyone exposing it could be a target.
--Markopoulos delivered the file to Spitzer in a way that he knew Spitzer would get it. No reaction from Spitzer.
--Finally in 2009 there was action and it was only because Madoff was running out of money and leveraging assets to keep going.
We will see something similar with trump. He will keep going until the bottom falls out, and that will happen, without a doubt. The craziness is already apparent.
A lot of people are going to get hurt and much of it could be avoided if a DEMOCRAT (Spitzer, as you know, was a Democrat) would take action.

What does Mike Lindell's playbook say that resembles this? And how does what Spoonamore says come from that playbook?

(37,861 posts)and I mean anybody who thinks trump participated in anything resembling a free, fair and honest anything needs their head examined.
Just the fact that he is the noted criminal that he is means the entire election needs to be examined. I'm not buying anything he and his ilk say.
Regardless of what Spoonamore says, no one can honestly say trump has ever performed an honest transaction.

(37,861 posts)All I'm saying is a I heard they were going for a day or so. I only listen to NPR so that's where it had to come from.
We can only trust NPR so much. The idiots said today that trump had a decisive win. I don't call a 1.5 lead and under 50 a decisive win.
Sickeningly, a Yahoo news story also said trump had a decisive win.
This just goes to show how ignorant reporters at even a supposedly fair news organization are.
Ignorance.

Otherwise, "don't get sucked in" to "pointless speculation," as the full time scoffers and conspiracy denial theorists keep saying.
