Is Trump trying to kill us? Authoritarian expert says yes. Here's how

Updated: Nov. 15, 2024, 4:32 p.m

There are five key areas that authoritarians want to control when they attempt to decapitate a democratic state, authoritarian expert and author Timothy Snyder writes: health, law, administration, defense and intelligence.

And in each of these arenas, the goal is to consolidate power, create chaos — and yes, even death. Authoritarians with power over these areas, Snyder says, “can make America impossible to sustain.”

In each instance, deaths are possible. And it’s not far-fetched to say that’s president-elect Donald Trump’s goal. Here’s Snyder’s reasoning:

Health

“The foundation of modern democratic state is a healthy, long-lived population,” Snyder writes in his latest newsletter. “We lived longer in the twentieth century because of hygiene and vaccinations, pioneered by scientists and physicians and then institutionalized by governments. We treat one another better when we know we have longer lives to lose.”

Putin's henchmen have attacked America through that 22%. The rest of us don't have to fall for it.

We're really up against the domestic terrorism of the Heritage Henchmen + Federalists + trump's cabinet.
It's within our free will capacity to fight them.

All women in their 50s should be done away with because they can't have babies anymore.

And to MAGAts that means they are useless.

Why is that Slovanian sex worker, Melania, still around when she's over 54 years old? And she only had one kid. She really is useless.

I wonder what horrors she's going to give us for Next Christmas? And what beauty in the White House will she turn into hotel or airport decore?

Definitely not China.. It would only be the Khrushchev inspired Soviet Union.

Here are some quotes by Nikita Khrushchev:
"We say the name of God, but that is only habit."
"The press is our chief ideological weapon."
"Support by United States rulers is rather in the nature of the support that the rope gives to a hanged man."
"What the scientists have in their briefcases is terrifying."
"You Americans are so gullible."
"We do not have to invade the United States, we will destroy you from within."
"The United States will eventually fly the Communist red flag…The American people will hoist it themselves."
"The John Birch Society is Communism's greatest ally. With its help we will divide and confuse the American people until they have lost faith in their Government, their nation has ceased to be a major world power, and their country is ripe for revolution."
"Democracy is a government where you can say what you think even if you don't think. Politicians are the same all over. They promise to build a bridge where there is no river."

Troops to Eurasia to fight Putin's wars. Putin is good at intelligence (and sucking up almost all of Russia's resources) but he's shit about supporting his military. He's running out of willing bodies to throw at his wars.

But there are plenty of idiot men in America who voted for the Putin/Trump ticket. They'll get a chance to fight for their master for little to no pay soon. It may just turn into another draft. Let's see how deep Putin's claws sink into Trump's butt.

Khrushchev is long gone... and there is no communism left in the former Soviet Union. Even THEY don't believe that old nonsense any more. Maybe Putin is a greedy pig who wants to die with all the marbles. I don't know. But his motive isn't to spread communism around the planet.

Communism is about sharing all the resources with everyone. Russia never did that. It may have been a type of socialism because the means of production were Not in the hands of the filthy-rich. But it was in the hands of a corrupt government. Much like China.

The "conservative agenda" has been about culling the herd for quite some time. The few policies they do propose, harm people. Otherwise, they are in full-on oppositional mode obstructing policies that help people - or tearing down the people trying to lead in a positive direction.

A Republican (fascist authoritarian) stranglehold on the three branches of government now looks like this.

Executive Branch: Dismantle (destroy) the government and empty the coffers.
Legislative Branch: Strip away rights (especially women, LGBTQ+, and voting) so the electorate has little power (or energy) left.
Judicial Branch: Provide cover to enable the executive and legislative branch to do the above.

The good news is that historically, this hasn't been successful. The bad news is that it has taken bloody revolutions and world wars.

Yeah, I guess I'm in a foul pessimistic mood this morning.

As I’ve been saying for a long time, we are all born on this earth equally, we are all deserving of the resources of this earth equally. Not one human deserves more resources than any other human.

Too many of the 1% believe they are deserving of all the resources of the earth. Sharing is not a part of their emotional makeup. The only thing they understand is take, take, take. They have no concept of give, give, give. They will not share the earth with us. They falsely believe that the rest of us 99% are the ones ruining this earth. They falsely believe that they are the saviors of this earth.

On the Georgia Guidestones their goals are written.

He's got dementia and can't remember where he is or who people are. He can hardly talk in full sentences anymore. He tilts when he walks and he needs 2 hands to drink from a cup like a baby. He's being propped up by Vance, the other Nazis around him and drugs.

But yeah, he's also a malicious narcissist who loves to see people suffer. So, yeah, it's a win win for him when he destroys our already broken healthcare system that he doesn't understand.

I only hope that when Trump does all the things that he does that the people in the country will finally see it and wake up and that we will still have a chance for a free and fair election. Those are my two worries, along with my retirement, not tanking, which I’m concerned about.

- By dismantling the ACA, Medicare, and Medicaid, many who depend on those insurance plans will lose their lifeline. I know a couple people who will die if they don't have the ACA for health insurance.

- By "pausing" research on medications, this will essentially stop the process for approving new drugs. There is one promising ALS medication in the approval pipeline that could potentially save a lot of lives. If they shut the process down, people with ALS will die. Same with cancer.

It's going to be horrible for sure but the majority of the country did not vote for this. Not even close.

While it is a two-edged sword, the incompetence and backbiting appears greater now than in the first term. The people he is naming are not the best and brightest. They are largely selfish, incompetent and feckless. At least half of them won't last two years in their positions.

I promise if we can make it through the first two years we can get back control of both the House and Senate and drowned them in so many hearings and legal delays that it will make the last two years of his term a little easier.

We can do this. Let's not give in to cynicism or become jaded to what is still positive and good in the world.
