I, for one don’t remember the Republicans offering a scintilla of proof or explanation to back their contesting and filing lawsuits regarding the results of the 2020 election. This, on the other hand at least provides detail and seems plausible

There is no publicly available data from which one could compute the number of "bullet ballots" at this point. Moreover, the difference between the number of ballots cast in the presidential race in the states he cites, when compared to the number of ballots cast in other statewide races in those same states, does not support his claims. For example, he claims that Trump received 350,000 "bullet ballots" in North Carolina which would be an unusual number. But not only does he not indicate where he pulls that number from, the official results on the North Carolina establish that the total number of ballots cast in the presidential race did not exceed the total number of ballots cast in the governor's race by anywhere near 350,000. Since a bullet ballot is a ballot in which a vote is cast in only one race and the other races on the ballot are ignored, his claims don't hold up to scrutiny as a matter of simple math.

IIRC, I posted the North Carolina results dashboard here before. It's very easy to operate because it's a simple drop down menu.

LITERALLY ANYONE can do the calculations and debunk these ridiculous claims about an outrageous number of bullet ballots in North Carolina.

Why do people keep pushing this narrative?

What the article says sounds plausible, though even in Massachusetts Trump did better than he did in 2020. The maps on the NY Times that use red or blue arrows to show the change in the vote from 2020 to 2024 seem pretty consistent. Across the country, it is mostly red arrows.

Given that Trump tried to overthrow the government rather than leave office the last time, that's fucking insane, but it seems to have actually happened.
