At first I was fearful that trump would have some truly diabolical assholes

In his cabinet, but now with all this morons he’s putting in his cabinet, I’m fearful of the sheer unmitigated stupidity.

How do they dress themselves without tripping over their laces, how do they eat without stabbing themselves in the face?

The only saving grace by him having the truly mind bendingly stupid in his cabinet is: they will be doing all they can individually not to be the most stupid of them all. This results in entropy and egos running high with little accomplishments to show for ham
handed efforts

They won't read the "manuals," and everyone in their departments will know they are idiots. It will be just like Russia: just go through the motions and pretend to obey "fearless leader."

I've seen it suggested that Trump likes having stupid arseholes in the Cabinet since they wouldn't dare launch a coup with Vance to invoke the 25th Amendment.

There should be no moving goalposts toward "stupidity," or "incompetence" or "saving grace."

They are not trump's foils. They are all totally unfit and a collective danger to U.S. national security.

We MUST stop trying to make sense of the Heritage Henchmen's Project 2025 COUP .

By Jan 20, trump's tools + the Insurrection Act + the Heritage Henchmen will become domestic terrorism.

said that Dear Leader was not going to appoint anyone smarter than himself because he already knows everything, and what can experts in their fields tell him?

It's going to be a rough ride - the only lifelines are the career bureaucrats who actually make things run and know how to ignore the suits in the top seats - assuming they escape the Elon/Vivek axes.

He has a small and select inner circle of people he really trusts.

Unfortunately few of them have the skills needed for their appointed place at the Trump government table.

So . . . .Fealty to the King = yes.
Competence to run the country = NO.

Expect some insane levels of chaos over the next 4 years.

Trump isn't a clear thinker and knows little about how to run the business of the USA, and delegating decisions to more capable and intelligent others isn't going to happen.

He's never learned to compromise, never learned to trust his underlings. He cannot stand competition, especially when people are smarter than he is. He has a pathological allergy to telling the truth, except as a taunt.

A smart leader, when wanting to end one thing and begin another, plans, prepares, and ensures as minimal a disruption as possible. He places people that are competent as transitional leaders on the organization being built, makes sure that is up and running, then he brings in experts to bring the old building down.

Trump is not a smart leader - he's driven by revenge, hubris, greed, and stupidity. I suspect, when all this is over and Trump is in the grave, then the story will come out about how he stole this election like he has stolen almost everything else in his life.

I suspect that, when January 20th comes, he will discover that the passwords no longer work for anything, that intelligence data has mysteriously become corrupted, that sensitive personnel information will have seemingly disappeared. The CIA still remembers Valerie Plame.

Various government entities will strengthen their communications with the Deep State - you know, Obama and soon Biden in an underground bunker somewhere sending out coded messages just to make Trump's life miserable.

His self-styled set-up is already in trouble and the election was only two weeks ago! The guy’s still leaving piles of rubbish wherever he goes, even at this late date. And boy is he making lousy choices. Wouldn’t surprise me if most of his misbegotten “cabinet” falls apart before he even finishes his first year back in the White House.

Wonder who the first escapee will be, and how soon after he’s sworn in.
