Bobo Wants Trump to Appoint Dan Bongino as "Secretary of Secret Service"--A Job That Doesn't Exist
In a move that raises eyebrows and questions about her grasp of government structure, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) recently suggested that former President Donald Trump appoint pro-Trump commentator Dan Bongino to a post she called the "Secretary of Secret Service." The only problem? That job doesnt exist.

While Boeberts enthusiasm for Bongino, a former Secret Service agent turned podcaster, is clear, her lack of understanding of how the U.S. government operates is perhaps even clearer. Despite being on the House Oversight Committee, Boebert doesnt seem to know that the Secret Service is an agency under the Department of Homeland Security, not a cabinet-level department with a "secretary." There's no position called "Secretary of Secret Service."
This isnt the first time Boebert has found herself at odds with basic governmental concepts. Previously, she mixed up the Constitution with Declaration of Independence, claiming the Constitution guarantees life, liberty, [and] the pursuit of happiness, a phrase from the Declaration of Independence.
Boebert also previously falsely claimed a previous version of the Declaration of Independence mentioned life, liberty, and
personal property. There isnt a version that states this.
