Is President Musk Going To Stop The Sale Of Infowars To The Onion

President Musk has filed a complaint as to the bidding process that sold Infowars to The Onion.

Infowars was shut down by a judge on a Thursday and by Friday Alex Jones was at a different location broadcasting his propaganda, is that OK?

Will the judge stick to his decision? It does make one depressed that the pro-Russians just do what they want, and it's about to get a hell of a lot worse.

1. What does the Second Bananna (R) say about this?

Oh wait, I forgot, the G.O.P.'s Felon/Rapist is kinda irrelevant now that Mr. Musk is running the Billionaire Bro Show.

Many people say that it sucks to be a useless old flabbyfartface (FFF) over-ripe second bananna.

If there's one thing Trump hates, it's someone upstaging him.

I have seen articles about how Trump doesn't like Musk spending so much time at Mar-el-Loco.

I'm pretty sure that Trump knows that Putin put Musk ahead of him.

11. I think he wants to file something like an amicus brief to state that the sale should not include Jones' BS on X.

At least that appears to be the "official" excuse from Musk's team.

Hi friends!

I wanted to give a quick update on The Onion’s purchase of InfoWars, which we can’t wait to relaunch as the dumbest site on the internet.

Long and short of it: We won the bid and — you're not going to believe it — the previous InfoWars folks aren't taking it well.

On Thursday, the person overseeing the auction told us that The Onion’s bid for InfoWars, along with the Connecticut Sandy Hook families, won.

We haven’t heard anything that changed that — except, of course, from the guys currently running InfoWars, doing InfoWars stuff.

There was a status conference with the judge overseeing the auction on Thursday shortly after we were deemed winners.

The judge had some questions about process and assets. We’re glad he’s doing that, since our bid with the families is clearly the best and transparency is even better.

We left the hearing with clear next steps to complete the sale. InfoWars’ current management asked to continue operating until then.

We always knew the guys who currently run InfoWars were going to take this badly and use a loss to fundraise off of it. They did not disappoint!

Obviously, when the current operators of InfoWars went back to operating as a business, they used that to falsely say the auction had been overturned and allege some truly wacky stuff. Something about Saul Alinsky? God bless ‘em.

We expected all of this, obviously. Buying this site was always going to be fun later on, but annoying right away.

Anyway, we look forward to completing this process at the next scheduled court date — which, at present, is a week from Monday.

We think it’s all worth it to make a better, funnier future possible. As always: Tu Stultus Es.

Jones is currently continuing to broadcast because the site and its assets haven't been handed over yet.

Some more details of the ins and outs of the deal here: https://apnews.com/article/onion-buys-infowars-alex-jones-6496f198d141c991087dcd937b3588e9

It seems more likely Musk is seeking involvement over Twitter accounts related to Infowars, which are no doubt monetized. I don't think he has any standing to intervene in any other way or he'd have already done so.

8. It appears that the buyers short changed Alex Jones in the Bankruptcy sale.

When you have a liquidation of the assets in a bankruptcy sale then it also looks out for the best interest of the person selling the goods and real estate in the process. AJ is a a--hole, but he has a right to fair due process like every other citizen in the US. Of course, he can just open another web site to spew his nutty conspiracy theories and sell his cRaZy supplements. I imagine it won't be long before he defames some other people shortly and he is sued for another $billion.

10. The interests of the people Jones owes money to are the prime concern, not Jones himself

The deal struck with the Onion dealt with that and was more beneficial for the debtees, so there's no suggestion of any "short-changing" or lack of "fair due process".
