She makes three inarguable observations about the targets of her ire:
1. They hate women.
2. They hate brown (and black/yellow/etc.) people.
3. They are ignorant and cannot read.
While she is correct that the mainstream media has been complicit in the rise of Trumpism, the dumbing-down of Americans has been going on for decades. Republicans have been sabotaging our public education systems such that graduating high school students cannot read beyond a rudimentary level and they cannot process complex thoughts or ideas. Their understandings of science, geography, mathematics, literature, history, civics and languages are minimal. Those subjects are the core of a well-rounded education which the Founding Fathers believed was essential for an informed public in a democratic republic. But today's Republicans don't want people to be smart because it makes them easier to manipulate and abuse for their own purposes.
This is the America we live in. There really isn't any other way to see it. Trump won and Democrats didn't turn out to vote.
It's pathetic that Democrats didn't turn out in massive numbers but there it is. That's the real problem.
Either that or the idiots outnumber us.
