MO: Bid to block abortion restrictions to get Dec. 4 hearing
A state judge scheduled a hearing for Dec. 4 in a lawsuit brought by Planned Parenthood affiliates seeking to block laws restricting abortion in Missouri.
If the court grants their request for an injunction, two Missouri Planned Parenthood affiliates plan to offer surgical and medical abortions at clinics in Columbia, St. Louis and Kansas City.
A request by the attorney general’s office to transfer the lawsuit from Jackson County to Cole County could delay the hearing.
Jerri Zhang, a 16th Circuit Court judge in Jackson County, scheduled the hearing on Friday.
