There will be no mandatory masking laws, no ban on crowd sizes for events, no social distancing seating.
What is worse, if you wear your mask, you will be making yourself a target for MAGATs to harass and worse.
MAGA is a death cult, and America has drunk the Kool Aid.
See you hopefully on the other side of 4 years.

(49 posts)This is very likely.
There are always diseases trying to spread and only good public health agencies keep them in check.
We could be about to find out how terrible life was before modern medicine.

(2,413 posts)...easy human-to-human transmission of avian flu at this point. And we've seen how Trump operates in these situations already. He tried to hide the Covid outbreak for several months, for God's sake, and when it could no longer be denied, he turned the whole thing into another front in the culture war.
No masks, no vaccines. Schools full of un-vaccinated children, spreading diseases like measles.
That's how MAGAs want it.

(12,667 posts)at 78 to go maskless in the big box stores, where I'm seeing too much coughing in the shopping aisles recently.
So I mask up, but now wearing my veterans hat, just waiting for some smart mouth lip from a magaloon, and cause me to snap. I hate living in this rage mode, but with Putin's bitch returning to office, Caligula and the First Tramp have just set the stage for four+ years of hell.

(1,805 posts)I'm not so sure another pandemic in the near future should be a big concern. Of course, if the Republicans try to outlaw vaccine mandates for public schools, then all bets are off.
Beyond that though, most restrictions imposed during the 2020 pandemic were imposed at a state and local level. The Trump administration will not be able to prevent states from imposing these restrictions in the future. So if you're in a state with a Democratic Governor, you should be safe, so to speak.

(8,581 posts)He praised Trump's "operation warp speed" for the fast development of it. Considering some of the things that trump proposed to cure covid, I don't think it's surprising that some people were skeptical at best of the quality of the vaccines he might be responsible for.
And where we're getting this? It's exactly what RFK, Jr has been saying out loud.
Edit: to correct incorrect info

(51 posts)The Biden administration along with state administrations handled much of the rollout to the general public.
But even with that, after the MAGA crowd turned against it, so did Trump.

(8,581 posts)But that doesn't change the fact that we're not making up anything about the dangers of RFK, Jr.

(5,490 posts)At first, and lies, cover up, and blocking treatments for blue states by the psycho. Purchase masks now in advance and whatever else you need. Masks and isolation will be the only way to protect yourself if there is no vaccine. Stock up on everything you can like antibiotics so you can try to avoid going to hospitals etc. where you are likely to be exposed.
