But you should also keep in mind that two things might stop Trump.

1) If he creates martyrs he can't account for.
2) If he does something that wakes John Roberts the fuck up.

I had genuinely thought he'd go after Milley for doing deescalation after January 6. It's something the far right has been gunning for for years. It would isolate Milley and tie him to China (in their propaganda world).

Instead, he's going after Miller for Afghanistan.

It WON'T isolate Milley. It'll put DOD's orders at zenith of authority. If the legacy press is worth a shit (ha!), they'll point out the withdrawal was HIS plan.

Maybe I'm missing something here (tho I do think he's doing this bc Putin told him he invaded Ukraine bc of Afghanistan and Trump believed him bc he always believes Putin).

But as we move forward, think of Trump's abuses in terms of the stories he wants to tell and the stories we can tell.
