Absolute-and-Total-Non-Cooperation

"Like pretty much everyone here I’ve been in a dark place since the election. It’s hard to feel as though we aren’t experiencing the complete and total triumph of evil. And we are just getting started. The country is going to go through some awful and dark things. Good people will be hurt. Some will die. Our Democracy is on life support. We may really see mass deportations. Another pandemic could hit with a man who had a brain worm in charge. Trade wars will be the results of tariffs, the kind that led to the great depression. We could abandon Ukraine, pull out NATO, lose our place in the world, Get a national abortion ban and so on and so on.

Trump is a destroyer not a builder. He is a malignant narcissist, whose only real goal is to inflect as much pain and darkness on the world as exists in his bitter tormented soul. Those of us here see clearly what a monster he is. The rest of the country—god help them—do not.

So bad things are coming and I don’t know any better than you whether our country can be saved or not. Since the election I have been trying to stay away from the news. Going for walks, meditating, Taking a break. I encourage everyone to do this. I have been trying to heal some before what is to come. Because, like it or not, tired or not, we have to be ready to fight.

The greatest generation became the greatest generation because they survived the Great Depression and Won World War II. I’m guessing most of them would have rather skipped both those events if they could have. They fought them, not because they wanted to, but because they had no choice. Same as us. If you are like me you’d probably rather skip this one. I know I want to. But we can’t. It’s our turn and like it or not we must dig deep and fight again."

I rcommend everyone read the entire article at the link.

I have also been thinking a lot about how to non-cooperate in the coming four years.

Pehaps we shold all be puttin on minds on how to be as pecefully unsupportive of the comin administration a we can, including just not engaging in whatever hell they unleash.

Consider the manstream media their prime propaganda tool, so don't expose yourself to it (who needs those cable bills anyway?).

The U.S. "economy" is based mostly on our paricipation in consumerism, I will gladly reduce my consumption for a few years to save my country.

Are they threatening social security? We better get down to the local non-profit senior aid center and see what help we and our famly and friends can offer.

Are they working for the benefit of the fossil fuel industry? I know I can noticably reduce my oil and energy use even further.

There are an endless amount of ways we can simply not be participants to their destruction of our home and family.

If they try to take the US to a hellhole future, let's make them drag the weight of half the population every step of the way.

I have been thinking about non-cooperation too. We need to complain in large numbers to the Bar Associations for any attorney's who work for this ship of fools. The Bar Associations have been incredibly effective thus far as evidenced by the number of previous Trump associates who no longer have a license to practice law (Rudy, Eastman, etc.).

We might also want to think about creating a Democratic Underground Political Action Committee (PAC) and continuing the campaign (anything we can do to embarrass and slow them down would be fine - undercover journalism, pictures, events). We can campaign for four years just like Trump and perhaps we will have a country afterward.

Take time to regain your balance as much as necessary.

Be ready to speak up, bear witness and intervene if possible.

My family has been in this country for a looong time, fresh off the boat when that was the only way here.

I missed Vietnam when they ended the draft, and subsequent ill advised military misadventures.

Not this time.
Calling my fellow citizens "the enemy within"?

Fuck straight off.

This no time for writing letters expressing your concerns. Those days are over.

Mom gave me that mind virus, and I have been for social justice all my life.

Hakeem Jeffries is busy pushing bipartisanSHIT. No fucking way, unless it's welcoming R's in impeaching Vance and Trump. Otherwise, grow a fucking spine.

When Texas refused to cooperate with the Biden Administration's CBP concerning Eagle Pass? Just making sure I understand the difference (should I ever have to argue the point).
