What I learned in the last few days on DU .... I might be wrong but since it is on the internet it should be true.

Trump received 600,000 bullet ballots in swing states where the only vote was for President
and none for any of the other races.

Democratic Senators want to know about any conversations between Musk & Putin.

It is looking like Harris has a CHANCE to have more votes than Trump in the final popular vote count.

“Russian presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev noted that while the U.S. election may be over, Trump is still beholden to “certain forces.”“. (How much Russian help did Trump get in the election?)

Computer Security Experts Urge Harris To Demand Hand Recount

*********

My own theory. Having Musk handle the voting data from the election on his Starlink
raises big questions for me about the election’s out come.

I don't know which states provide the option of voting for every candidate of a particular party in one step (which is the literal meaning of voting a "straight ticket" ), but not all of them do.

I live in Illinois, a state that does not have the straight ticket option. In order to vote for all the Democratic candidates, I have to go through the whole ballot and select the Democrat in each race. It's not that hard, and I don't mind doing it, but it does take a little more effort. Some people are pretty lazy, and some are not fully committed to one specific party like most (all?) of us DUers. I can imagine some of those people not feeling motivated to bother going through the whole ballot.

I don't know what to think of the report of 60,000(?) ballots voting only for potus (and for the same candidate, which seems like quite a coincidence), but laziness could conceivably account for some people voting that way.

As pointed out multiple times, there allegedly were 350,000 ballots cast in North Carolina where the only vote cast was for Trump in the presidential race. Yet, there were only 88,500 fewer votes cast in the governor's race, which basically blows up the bullet ballot conspiracy. To say nothing of the fact that it makes no sense to claim 600,000 bullet ballots were cast in the 7 swing states, but more than half in North Carolina alone. And if there was a way for repubs to manufacture ballots, why only have a vote for Trump on them? They wanted it to look more suspicious and, at the same time, not attempt to flip Democratic Senate seats in swing states or statewide offices in north carolina?

Finally, where does the information about alleged "bullet ballots" come from, because there isn't anything on the official North Carolina elections site that would allow one to calculate the number of such votes.

So-called bullet ballots one must do their own calculations from the numbers provided by NCSBE.

You are correct that number is not tracked but can easily be determined by calculations using available data.

Keep in mind that any calculations done now are only estimates because like many other places North Carolina is still counting votes.

Sun Nov 17, 2024, 08:22 AM

races will have any additional votes for anyone? The NC website doesn't indicate any votes still outstanding and the NBC tracking site says that there may be 22,000 votes still uncounted -- nowhere near the 270,000 that would have to magically appear to produce a 350,000 bullet ballots for Trump.

And exactly where on the NCSBE website is their information from which you can determine how many bullet ballots were cast. Let's say you compared the number of votes cast in a precinct for all the different races. There probably will be different numbers of votes in each race and there may not be a single race where the votes cast matches the total number of votes cast in the election. Indeed, according to the NCSBE website there were 5,722,556 votes cast -- which means there are around 40,000 ballots didn't vote for anyone for President.

So, how can one determine how many votes were "bullet ballots" for Trump from that data? I'm open to an explanation, but it has to be grounded in fact.

Total NC Ballots for Governor: 5,590,196

The reality is that the total number of votes in the presidential race in North Carolina is only 88500 more than the number of votes in the Governor's race -- so how is it that there were 350,000 "bullet ballot" votes in the presidential race? Where on the publicly available North Carolina official election website is there information from which one could calculate the number of bullet ballots? If there were 600,000 of these manufactured ballots over seven states, why were 350,000 of them in North Carolina and only 250,000 spread over six states? Why manufacture 600,000 ballots with only a vote for Trump and no other republican? Did someone think that would be less suspicious? Did they not want to flip the Senate seats in Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan and Nevada or any of the statewide offices held by Democrats in North Carolina?

Starlink didn't handle election data. He handled reported totals, which:

1) Do not elect the President (electoral college does that) and,

2) Is not the actual count, which is officially "reported" when the elector casts their vote.

We just lost. There's no deep conspiracy here. If, however, you have information CISA and the WH's paid 24/7/365 intelligence services missed, I'm sure they'd be open minded in analyzing it.

To date, information they've received and analyzed (including the vote totals with knowledge that websites online reported numbers via possibly unsecure channels) has indicated the election was free and fair.

The bullet ballot claim is probably bullshit. As many have noted, North Carolina's tallies already contradict the claims being made. If this person was serious, he would concretely source the numbers he's producing and back up his claims with hard, verifiable data. He has not done that. Which isn't weird at all. But I guess we're beyond asking for evidence.

Harris isn't going to win the popular vote. She's still down by 2.7 million votes, and there aren't enough outstanding votes to make up that kind of deficit. What might happen is Trump dips below 50%. He'd still have more votes and a plurality, however.

The Starlink story is nonsense that has been debunked multiple times, but people keep running with it for whatever reason.

And that is why message boards are not particularly good places to use as primary news sources or accepting information without laterally reading to check credibility and veracity of sources for oneself.

The bullet ballot stuff has no evidence supporting it. The man making the claims has no provided any of his sourcing, methods, or data. All he's done is make broad claims that are being widely questioned and criticized at the moment. The other letter is more or less "Someone could have robbed a bank." It is not "The bank was robbed and here is the evidence." It also throws various things at the wall thinking something might stick (no evidence it will stick, just the hope that maybe it will)

At some point, we have to come back to earth and accept that we just didn't win this one.

Our energy is best used to shield from the incoming shitstorm and work to winning the next one.
