Surprise, surprise, surprise.

Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) signaled Thursday that he’d be willing to serve under President-elect Trump when he returns to the White House in January.

“If there is a job that could help the country and that my skillset would be useful for. Anybody should consider that,” Phillips told NewsNation’s “On Balance.”

“And if we come to a point where no Democrat will want to serve in a Republican administration, and conversely, we are limiting 50 percent of the universe of potential appointees and that’s what I am trying to overcome,” he added.

Phillips, who mounted a long shot bid against President Biden before dropping out in March, has consistently warned his party about not having a competitive primary process and urged both parties to try to better understand the needs of the American people.

1. He thinks it's possible to "help the country" by doing a job that supports a trump administration?

that there are some moles deep inside the coming administration, posing as MAGA loyalists. Otherwise, we will not have any idea what is going on. The best books that came out of the first T term all relied on leakers or at least competent civil servants willing to tell journalists what was going on. I don't think this coming administration will tolerate that. I've read that people will be polygraphed, etc...

4. Phillips, attracted like a moth to a flame, moved Manchin-esquely into the vacuum.

He expressed concerns about elected representatives taking principled stands on political matters, adding that he, like Trump, does not like the wind and refuses to move in a defined direction.
