Signed up for Bluesky today

Most of the people I was following on Twitter AKA Shitter are there.

1. I heard a million people signed up for Bluesky today.

3. I did too, and I am enjoying BlueSky

I had been idling on Threads. With no malice because it's a blue refuge, everyone there in my feed is just asking questions. "What spice in your cabinet do you not cook without?"

BlueSky feels like Twitter back when it was cool. People are saying interesting stuff and the mood is positive. I did go over with friends from an online community and right now it feels like Mastodon how you have to go looking for interesting stuff instead of having it pushed at you.

I tried signing up many times. I found the process very klunky. They want my birthday but I don't have time to click hundreds of times to get the right date. Then there is a stupid I am not a robot hoop that didn't work. Not impressed!

6. You don't have the spinny number thing to get the month day year?

I signed up without any issue on my phone. Created the account in less than 5 min. Maybe close out your apps, try loading everything again and create the account then?
