They are leaving soon to complete their PhD but they are not filling their position when he leaves. Funding was already tough. They went the last couple months of last winter with no heat in parts of their building because the HVAC was broken.
What this does to the critical research done at NIH is really scary.

16. My husband worked for the CCD, Center for Occupational Health and Safety. He wrote many of the safety regulations

many of the safety regulations' for explosives and for mining. Was named the OHS Federal Employee of the Year. He retired during tRump first term as tRump was trying to do away with it back them. I hope those in the red mining states that voted for tRump realize the harm they did to themselves with no regulations and safety shot to hell.
