President-elect Donald Trump said Thursday he plans to name North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum to lead the Department of Interior.
Were going to do things with energy and with land, Interior that is going to be incredible, Trump said during a Thursday event at Mar-a-Lago. A clip of the event was captured on CSPAN.

Burgum, who has served two terms as governor of North Dakota, was among the field of Republican candidates for president during the primaries before endorsing Trump.
As governor, Burgum has railed against what he sees as government overreach and bureaucracy under the Biden administration, especially on energy policy.

Meaning, let the government continue to take a loss on resources private companies take from federal land.

(35,661 posts)He cant possibly understand the types of pollution. We have here in the east in our small cities, etc. And how much we need our open spaces and parks. Of course he had to get something for all that sucking up he did.
