The head of The Onion said they had a choice. They could let InfoWars continue as it was, or they could turn it into "a dumb, stupid website," and they decided on the latter. 
They're going to substitue satire directed at conspiricy theories for the InfoWars audience to consume. I hope they don't make it too subtle!!!!
