the AG job. He only quit his House seat for THIS session and will be back for the new session in January. My brain is dying with all this crazy.

(75 posts)and whatever Orangina barfs out into the world about what the consequences will be for that person's disobedience to His Lardship. This will also provide 'cover' for the GOP Senators to ignore the whole thing because it was 'illegitimately released', and of course the media will report that like it's reasonable, like the facts of the case don't matter because it was 'unfair' how we all came to know about it.
It needs to be released through proper channels or not at all IMHO

Honestly believe we are all watching a not-so-slow-motion coup right before our eyes.

(27,714 posts)His resignation letter (read into the record on the House floor) specifically says that he won't be taking the oath of office for the new term. Other republicans have quoted him as saying his timing is so that a replacement can be seated in time for the swearing in on 1/3 for the new term.

Not worth trying to fill a week or two when the House isn't even in session.
