McDonald's deadly E. coli outbreak has now sickened more than 100 people - however- its the onions folks.
A deadly E. coli outbreak linked to slivered onions on McDonald's Quarter Pounder burgers has sickened 104 people in 14 states, federal health officials said in an update on Wednesday.
At least 34 people have been hospitalized, and four developed hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), a serious condition that can cause kidney failure. An 88-year-old man who resided in Grand Junction, Colorado, died, as previously reported. The illnesses began at the end of September, and the most recent onset of illness occurred as of October 21, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

(9,265 posts)Nothing like toxic food coloring, glyphosate contaminated GMO grains and glyphosate contaminated sugar to start the day. I find out my adult granddaughter has been eating this crap. She grew up on organic food - I dont get it.

(1,961 posts)We sell the crappier version in the U.S., while Canada and others have a 'better' one. This is wrong and needs to be fixed.
The bright red hue found in Froot Loops comes courtesy of Red 40, a controversial additive linked to a slew of health problems.
A 2022 study yielded alarming results about the effects of Red 40 sometimes called Allura red on the human digestive tract.
Researchers from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, claimed the synthetic dye could potentially trigger irritable bowel syndrome and Crohns disease after observing the biomarkers of damage in the gut cells of mice.
