(17,832 posts)He thinks that he's won over a chunk of the Democratic party or something. But after the (narcissistic) overvaluation comes the devaluation. Trump will get sick of him, just like he got sick of almost all of his staff in his first term. Kennedy will criticize his food in front of him, and it will be all over. It will be quick and brutal.

(17,832 posts)Everyone has to have health insurance and take care of their health. You destroy the CDC and take away vaccines and you really destroy the health of the country. Surely the Repubs aren't THAT STUPID. Are they?

Trump obviously wants to stick it to the American people and make us a third world country.

So I guess I've done at least one thing right as a parent.

Yep it is twisted when we are hoping for health insurance to prevail.

(17,100 posts)to stop all research on infectious diseases....it was actually last year, he wants an 8 year "break" in such research.

https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/robert-f-kennedy-jr-vaccines-b2441705.html
Independent presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr attended an anti-vaccine conference, saying that he felt as if he had come home.
Reiterating his commitment to the goals of the movement, the conspiracy theorist who recently dropped his bid for the Democratic nomination said he would order the National Institutes of Health to take a break from researching infectious diseases, such as Covid-19 and measles, according to NBC News.
He added that he would instead push the agency to study chronic diseases, such as diabetes and obesity. Mr Kennedy has claimed, without evidence, that both scientists and pharmaceutical companies are ignoring chronic conditions in the hunt for profits. He has argued that this effort includes pushing ineffective and dangerous treatments, and he claims that these include vaccines.
