Anyone hearing/seeing anything the possibility of using the 14th Amendment to prevent Trump from taking office ?
I know the Supreme Court ruled states couldn't keep him off the ballot, but what about preventing him from taking office, using Jack Smith's upcoming report on the January 6th insurrection case ?

(24,375 posts)He said that the SC ruling that Trump had to be allowed on the ballot did not say that he had to be allowed to serve if elected. Therefore, he said that Trump could be denied a swearing in.
Kirschner was grasping at fantasy straws. Who would make and enforce the decision to deny Trump an inauguration? The constitution does not give the president or anyone else that power. The SC would intervene. MAGAs would go to war over such a decision.
Ain't gonna happen.
