I wouldn't fix it to favor "our" side, but just to make The Truth and Common Sense and Sanity prevail. Fairness, Honesty, Decency. I know, The Mule was one of the bad guys in the "Foundation" novels. But his power itself was not bad, he was just using it for bad things. I would use that power sparingly and selectively, to stop the bad guys.
