RawStory - 'Worst-case scenario': Trump's niece says Democrats are doing her 'uncle's work for him'

RawStory - 'Worst-case scenario': Trump's niece says Democrats are doing her 'uncle's work for him'

David McAfee
November 13, 2024 6:54AM ET

At a time when Democrats should be unifying against Donald Trump, some are throwing each other under the bus, according to the former and incoming president's family member.

Mary Trump, Trump's niece and a trained psychologist, supported Vice President Kamala Harris over her own uncle. Now, she's targeting the Democrats who are blaming Harris for the massive loss.

"There are many and complex reasons why we have ended up here, so it’s been extremely disappointing to see the usual suspects (and some I didn’t anticipate) blaming Democrats for everything that has gone down," Mary Trump wrote Tuesday.

She continued:

"For a significant sub-set of Democratic operatives and pundits, the post-mortems have focused almost exclusively on what Democrats have done wrong, while entirely failing to take into account global trends, entrenched beliefs among American voters, and decades’ worth of right-wing disinformation. It’s as if said operatives and pundits were looking at this catastrophe through a purely Republican lens."

Stop talking about the constitution and democracy (initially) and start using - if they poll well and especially repubs who held their nose and voted for him, hard to believe - things like taking away your rights and stealing your hard earned benefits doing things in the dark and pummel them with it.

Find out what moves them and use it!

If you tell a lie that is big enough and long enough some people will believe it.

Trump put a smaller child in the hospital, tried to throw a teacher out a window,
had to go to a military school, flunked out of Fordham, and got 14 million killed
Worldwide with his responses to C-19.

there were bomb threats all over the swing states in Democratic districts. i think we don't even know that half of the voter suppression with the help of Russia. Corporations may have kept prices high probably just to hurt Democrats. When have we ever had a force like Twitter all out for one candidate, with no regulation, no guardrails, completely untethered to the truth? Citizens United: several Billionaires funded half of Trump's campaign.

We are never on an even playing field because Republicans cheat and Democrats don't. Plus gerrymandering and the EC. From Nixon to W. Bush, to Trump. In a real majority rule Democracy Nixon 2, both Bush terms, and both Trump terms would have happened. And we'd be saving the planet right now instead of facing fascism.

Kamala and Tim are my heroes still. Let's honor them and keep them safe.

There is NO truly Democratic media who touted Joe Biden and the Democrats accomplishments. Even “Democracy Now” constantly smearing Joe and the Ds, and only focusing on the Palestinian issue. People like Claire McCaskill piling on with her hate of Joe. And no one was touting their accomplishments no mainstream media. No wonder the Democrats lost it’s all right wing radio all right wing news all fucking day.

When the Democrats start creating and growing their own media then maybe we have a chance. And not with people like DN, James Carville and Clare McCaskill.

Just as they've been trained to. For decades, from Dowd to Doocy, the media wouldn't understand the function of nor reason for even the simplest non-pro-GOP concept. Many Democratic political operatives are so fucked up they still think Carville is a good source for important minutia regarding elections and democracy.

Kamala is to Prosecutor, and this happens when you lose a trial. Talk in the office, Monday morning quarterbacking… all done by other people who don’t actually go to trial. The non-warriors, the ones who ALWAYS DEAL it out, and never go to the mat.

Kamala has been there. Her feelings are the only ones I worry about and those pusses in the wings who never risk, never fight, always criticize….

So somehow the crash of 2008 was President Obama’s fault even though he was a Senator at the time.

Somehow the failure of savings & loans was the fault of greedy shareholders not right wing deregulation of those savings & loans. Did you know most of America’s single family homes were built by now defunct savings & loans?

Somehow Covid inflation was Joe Biden’s fault even though it began in Mr. Trump’s administration.

What is next? The devil gave us polio?

A whole bunch of people are very pissed off and disappointed right now, it's going to take a bit of time to recover from that. But..... the moment tRUMP takes possession of the White House I have no doubt that we're going to become very much united again.

With that being said, I do hope that party leadership learns from this election and fixes the shortcomings. In my most humble opinion Kamala and Tim ran a very good campaign, but it's just damned difficult to overcome the right wing propaganda machine along with main stream media giving tRUMP a free pass on virtually everything.
