WASHINGTON — Despite more Latino men shifting more Republican, a majority continued to vote Democratic in 2024, new polling released Tuesday reveals.

The findings from the 2024 American Electorate Voter Poll came a week after the historic presidential race in which Donald Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris to win his second White House term. Both heavily targeted Latino voters throughout their campaigns.

“The national exit polls are wrong about Latinos in general and Latino men in particular,” said Matt Barreto, co-founder of Barreto-Segura Partners Research, during a Tuesday media briefing on the poll’s findings.

Among voters in the poll, 56% of Latino men said they voted for Harris, compared to 43% who selected Trump.

Once again, the more I look at these results, the more I smell a rat. An big orange one with a yellow toupee.

But we’re supposed to accept these results and shut up about it…

They're far more reliable than tiny random sampling polls like this one.

This poll tries to limit itself to people who actually voted - but it's really nothing more than the normal registered/likely filter... while the national exit poll is massive and is of actual voters.

In short - there's no way to spin the results with a story like this.

Note also that we're not just talking opinion polls (exit or otherwise). There were overwhelmingly Latino counties that shifted heavily red this year - which couldn't happen unless there was a significant shift in the electorate

For some reason earlier numbers show more support for republicans but later on it shows more actually went for democrats.

Maybe it's because of where the numbers are coming from and in certain areas they do lean more Republican but when all areas are counted this changes.

Think. Again.

Just because they said they voted for Harris, it doesn't mean they voted for Harris!

Pollster asks, "Who did you vote for?" Latino male "I voted for Harris!", and they drive away in their car with a "Vote for Trump" sticker as they put on their MAGA hat!

Think. Again.

Our obsession with which minority groups failed to overwhelmingly support Democrats is charming, in a paternalistic racist colonial sort of way.

We get mad at minority groups while ignoring that white people overwhelmingly vote Republican. This is shrugged off by white Democrats.

Look, Republicans rule the ugly math that continues to help them win elections. We are fighting against an Anglo culture that wants some of us dead. They don't hesitate to find out the worst of everyone to win them over. We need to find the best.

They continue to be the overwhelming majority of voters, and a majority are reliable Republican voters. That is what has to be fixed.

I guess it's easier to complain about those other people. We have to have Thanksgiving with our relatives the Trump voters. Don't upset mom by arguing at the dinner table.

It's a very real problem for Democrats. We have been cowed, shushed, shamed, and gaslighted. It's fine for Uncle Bud to go on and on about what he heard on Fox News, but let one of us speak up and "it's not polite."

The Latino population is 65 million. Areas with 80% Latino populations are turning red. That's a fact.

I'm sure my successful husband successful grown kids love hearing they're victims of racist colonialism as much as they love being called LatinX.
