Not because the defense and prosecution can't agree.
Normally the defense will just agree to stipulate to the validity of things like bank accounts, video records, emails, texts, etc. It saves time and money.
Tsf has refused to stipulate to ANYTHING.
As a result, the prosecution has to bring in bankers, secretaries, archivists, and record keepers just to stipulate in court that the documents are real.
Tsf is causing this case to drag out probably an extra three weeks over mind numbing boring details that are easily, but tediously, proven.
Jake tapper. The prosecution is not involved. If the defense stipulated to the validity of this evidence, these witnesses wouldn't be called. The prosecution would be happy and also stipulate.
Only one side is objecting.

(2,034 posts)Two reasons: )To drag it out and 2)to punish the bankers, secretaries, archivists and record keepers for cooperating with the prosecution(like they have a choice, but it matters not to him) and to put their names and faces out there for his fan club.

He can't stipulate to a recitation of the bare facts of the case because they make it look like he did something wrong, and his personality disorder is one that will never allow him to admit to that. Everybody else did the wrong things. He was doing his best and shouldn't have to sit in that courtroom day after day listening to people say things that don't fit the scenario he's made up to make himself the hero of the story.
Eventually, I hope he will be the most honest, saintly and persecuted man in the pen.

(111,529 posts)he'll last a bit longer. He'll be in full narcissistic collapse and he'll know he's surrounded by people he's terrified of and will be afraid to say a word to any of them.
I agrree with you on his longevity after he starts to open his mouth.

(4,274 posts)don't much know their backside from their elbow, don't care enough to get a straight story or don't want to "set the story straight" and appear to be "correcting" the desired narrative. When they make the "corrections" they can find themselves not invited back on and that cuts into their money for those appearances as "experts". So it becomes "go with the flow" and "support the narrative" by not touching on things that need correcting. Just "let it go".
