(113,961 posts)So, who do we call about Rush Limbaugh?

(19,382 posts)The reason is we cannot complain when conservatives laugh at liberals when they die. Why does anyone think it is funny to laugh at the dead? Were all eventually going to.

(113,961 posts)But it isn't meant to be disrespectful (okay the OP about Robertson undoubtedly is and I have zero respect for Limbaugh) but generally speaking it is not.
Saving lives means likewise seeing a lot of death. One needs to cope. Ask a physician or anyone who works in an ER, who is a first responder, a police officer, a Priest, or a respite worker. Calling them out for the occasional dark humor pretty much leaves you open to explaining how you would react in their shoes (and those who have not, don't know).
That said, while Robertson was a horrible man, even horrible men (and women) likely have someone who loved them. So, it is for those who sincerely grieve that I offer my sympathy, but I will hardly lie and claim to be among them.

(5,545 posts)I have to disagree in the strongest possible way. Our kidneys peoduce urine to cleanse our systems. And urine has many uses, among them fertilizer, and preparing sheep's wool (a cute name for cat in Irish is Pangur, which is a person who does the job of cleaning wool in urine). I feel that it would be disrespectful in the extreme to waste such a valuable product on the late pastor.

(4,030 posts)It's bad enough he became obscenely wealthy, conning poor working people out of their money. That would have been bad enough and reserved him a seat in the hottest section of hell. No, he used his pulpit to preach hatred. He made the lives of millions of people hell for no other reason than he could. The world is a much better place without him in it, and he should be remembered for the monster he was.
