That makes sense. Doubt she will get it in the end as she was already overruled. emulatorloo Jun 2023 #14

Her name is in the filing because she handled some things earlier involving the case, but we don't know who is assigned the trial yet.

It's supposed to be random, but I am not sure the process if the judge has already handled part of the case.

If it does end up being her, the DOJ would petition for a change and likely be successful.

The more public pushback on her evolvement - any evolvement - makes her role in this case less likely.

all of the documents could become "fruit of poison tree" and the prosecutor would agree to drop the case, lack of evidence. jeopardy would attach and trump 47 will be ready for vengeance.

and cannon is not the only maga judge that would do it.

She is in the Fort Pierce court while the case was filed in Miami. The other side of the district.

Per Wikipedia...
The United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit reversed Cannon's order, upon finding that Cannon wrongly exercised jurisdiction over the case, then Cannon dismissed the entire lawsuit per the Eleventh Circuit's instruction.

The case has been initially assigned to her because she was involved with the first part. She's been assigned the arraignment, not the entire case - yet.

One supposes that Smith and his team had already prepared for this possibility and have the appropriate documents ready to ask for her to be reassigned.
