Americans, upset that the Saudis are buying professional golf.

Also Americans, insist on building ONLY car dependent infrastructure requiring minor miracles to build a couple of car-independent, densely populated cities.

And no, EVs, are not going to be the answer any time soon.

we no longer need to haggle over what to call them all.

They are all bought and paid for with the blood of Jamal Khashoggi. They should all wear red.

A lot of PGA members aren't very happy about this. The question is, as always, what are they prepared to do about it? When the Augusta National Golf Club was temporarily in the spotlight for its racist ways and there was some loose talk about demoting the Masters from being a Grand Slam event, the most successful (and richest) golfers were curiously silent about the controversy. Most of them were content to let the controversy blow over and get back to being paid hefty amounts of money to play golf. When Augusta National grudgingly gave up the weensiest bit, the big money players were eager to get back in action.

We'll see if the current vintage of golf professionals are any more dedicated to human rights as their predecessors. It wouldn't take much to beat that record. I'd like to see them use their combined clout to re-make the game, but I don't think that's in the cards.

They're only interested in the money. That's all they've ever cared about. These guys have never been concerned about anyone but themselves. They grudgingly tolerted Tiger Woods because he was the best of the lot of them. But other than Tiger, the only Black faces you saw at any of their country clubs were carrying trays.

Golf is now an elitist, sexist, racist, exclusive past time. It was never supposed to be a "profession." It's a game. A hobby. Not a sport. Not one of these guys even carry their own clubs.

The Saudi royal family, ie state, are misogynist, violent, and bigoted. They are vengeful killers. Their involvement in the 9/11 killings is still not adequately explained.
