Bernie Sanders truth riles up the libertarian/bitcoin/maga/qanon nuts on twitter.

bernie tweet:
Republicans are so concerned about the national debt that their estate tax repeal bill would give:

$1.8 trillion to billionaires
$88 billion to the Walton family
$72 billion to Elon Musk’s family
$46 billion to the Jeff Bezos family
$0 to 99.9% of families

Total hypocrisy!

Nancy Abudu to the 11th circuit? Senator Sanders was at the Capitol that day but was one of four who sat out the vote to confirm her, the other three hard-core MAGA senators. Oh, and Manchin was in it too, but he voted against.

The vote was tight, 49 Dems - 47 Repubs.

The 11th circuit is packed with a hard-right majority, 6 (!) of them appointed by tRump, but the appointment of the SPLC's and ACLU's redoubtable Nancy Abudu brings us another step closer to fixing that.

from his daughter's wedding in NYC to vote, then Sen. Menendez arrived at about the same time to vote as well. Was wondering why anyone already at the capitol wouldn't have voted.

He was listed in responsible media as one of the four who didn't vote.

That's not unusual btw. Lots of times those who don't want to vote for something take stands they believe their followers would approve to the edge, then if it gets too close vote with Democrats rather than becoming responsible for tanking legislation and appointments. Pretty common, actually. I assumed he didn't like something about her record.
