A new NBC News poll finds the ‘MAGA’ movement was the least popular individual or group tested in the new survey.

Just 24% of Americans have positive views of the movement, while 45% voice negative views.

However, 52% of Republicans view the MAGA movement positively, as well as 53% of those who define themselves as conservative.

2. Conservatism as a whole is not very popular.

The only reason it continues to be a force in politics is because the people who own media and other industries are typically conservative.

They are trying to maintain their wealth and power and will utilize their wealth and influence to convince sufficient numbers of people about the validity of their worldview.

Thing is, we all grew up hearing all of the conservative arguments.

People (even here on DU) still think that Conservatives are about "small government", "fiscal responsibility", and "family values", which is just BS. They are about maintaining a hierarchical power structure centered in Capitalism. They will grow or shrink government to whatever size will keep them in power. Their idea of "fiscal responsibility is spending money one whatever they deem worthy and NEVER giving any of "their money" to the poor. The whole "family values" thing is about social control. They want to impose a standard of "morality" onto us, the lowlifes, while they can do whatever the hell they want because only powerful people know how to live a good life.
