Let's hope the other indictments and trials come soon

January 2024 being the start of Trump's trial is election year, which you know will be used to challenge the trial.

The federal cases might come sooner than we thought. Ocelot II Apr 2023 #3
From a psychological perspective this would be a good strategy. Irish_Dem Apr 2023 #5

Next up will be GA, I believe at the end of April... Or is it May... I forget, one or the other. Next expect to see the documents case... I'd expect that somewhere between May and July.

No trial will come sooner, that is the fact. The election gambit will probably be attempted but it will fail.

Now that Smith is able to get Pence and other aides like Meadows to testify to the 1/6 grand jury, I'd expect those indictments to come out fairly soon - and the federal courts have a "rocket docket" which allows cases to be expedited. I'm willing to bet the federal cases are ready for trial before the Manhattan case. The GA grand jury term expires at the end of April, so we'll see action on that case soon as well.

It is going to keep Trump surprised, confused, off-kilter.

He cannot focus all his anger and revenge on one target.
It is going to be whack a mole for Trump.
Something always popping up.
Schedule and players out of his control.

Trump demands being in total control, and so the loss of control will be
upsetting and disorienting to him.

While it will of course increase his anger and depression, he is going
to be unfocused and have difficulty coming up with plans as he has enemies
hitting him from all sides, with surprise attacks, schedules and lists of crimes.

In this kind of scenario typically the person starts attacking his friends, family
and attorneys which creates more chaos, increases isolation and decreases support.

I was just discussing Trump's drug situation on another thread here.
Trump looked quite medicated in his speech announcing his run for the presidency a few months back.
He was quite sedated, rambling, unfocused, flat affect, vacant stare. His minders have him on
downers and we know he does uppers, Adderall and probably cocaine.

I think that drug use is going to continue and in fact worsen.
Not looking at a good trajectory in terms of prognosis.

I suppose some people when faced with hell being unleashed on them might have a come to Jesus moment,
get sober and clean, get into treatment, listen to attorneys, play the respectful accused and mind his
p's and q's. But the odds of Trump doing this are low.
