I don't think the kids in our neighborhood were any smarter or dumber than other kids, but I can honestly say that the concept of throwing a Jart while someone was in the line of fire never occurred to any of us. You waited until everyone was out of the way before throwing, and you waited until the last Jart was thrown before retrieving them. I don't recall any parents giving us strict instructions, it was just common sense.

Just give kids mini death missles and throw them in the yard for a few hours.

It is a miracle I came out of childhood with all my eyes.

And lawn dart enthusiasts are convinced that lawn dart death resulted from taking Jesus out of the schools.
