(25,320 posts)it seems like the DU code is truncating it. (welcome to the world of software)
So, other than the archive, you might look into the LINK button.
With that, you select text you want to link (say: HERE )
and hit the LINK button. It will let you type in or paste in the full URL, and it will give a working link that people can click.
Oh, here's an example;

(13,282 posts)I had long talk with my grandson who is almost 26. He was complaining about different things going on in the government so instead of just saying vote I told him what I did. I said when your mom was 10 I would go down to the state capitol and protest with signs, it was about school stuff and I brought your mom.
I told him it isn't enough to talk on forums or complain to friends and family, that gets nothing done. I didn't stress voting because he thinks all politicians are the same, crooks.
I said I am older now and have blood pressure issues so starting a few years ago I mostly vote or make calls, easy stuff. The time is yours, the future is yours and your going to have to fight for it.
You can sit back and just let the rich politicians create your life for you or you can be part of the solution.

(17,617 posts)However, not all of us of a certain age have been lax in doing something about climate change. I personally would never do business with Bank of America or Wells Fargo. I have friends my age and older who have been actively involved in environmental causes since the first Earth Day. Heck, I believe I've even read just about everything Bill McKibben has written and he's a youngster to me. I've sat on the board of a land conservancy and was their volunteer coordinator at one time.
I'll continue to do all I can, but I do take offense when someone in their "Third Act" states that after all, it was our generation who made this mess. Maybe those people never gave climate change a thought but an awful lot of us did and still do.
