AI is already become crucial for many services we benefit from daily.
Over 75% of Googles electricity expense supports their AI services.
But JJ Johannes, the realtor for the home, created the description in less than five seconds by typing a few keywords into ChatGPT, a viral new AI chatbot tool that can generate elaborate responses to user prompts. Its a task, he said, that would otherwise have taken him an hour or more to write on his own.
It saved me so much time, Johannes told CNN, noting he made a few tweaks and edits to ChatGPTs work before publishing it. Its not perfect but it was a great starting point. My background is in technology and writing something eloquent takes time. This made it so much easier.
Johannes is among the real estate agents experimenting with ChatGPT since it was released publicly in late November. Some residential and commercial agents told CNN it has already changed the way they work, from writing listings and social media posts to drafting legal documents. It could also be used to automate repetitive tasks such as answering frequently asked questions and doing complex calculations.
Ive been using it for more than a month, and I cant remember the last time something has wowed me this much, said Andres Asion, a broker from the Miami Real Estate Group.

A:
Verse 1:
Money, money, the root of all evil
A force that makes us all so feeble
A never-ending cycle of greed
A hunger that can never be appeased
Chorus:
Money, money, it's a disease
It takes over our minds, it brings us to our knees
A false god, that we all worship
Money, money, it's a curse
Verse 2:
We chase the almighty dollar
And forget what really matters
We sell our souls for wealth
And end up living in poverty of the mind and spirit
Chorus:
Money, money, it's a disease
It takes over our minds, it brings us to our knees
A false god, that we all worship
Money, money, it's a curse
Bridge:
We spend our days chasing the green
And forget what it truly means
To live a life with purpose and grace
But money, it takes all that away
Chorus:
Money, money, it's a disease
It takes over our minds, it brings us to our knees
A false god, that we all worship
Money, money, it's a curse
Outro:
We must break free from this addiction
And find true satisfaction
In the things that truly matter
Not the illusions of money and its chatter.

(18,613 posts)I've already noticed that most younger people nowadays are utterly incapable of most DIY tasks.
We grew up in a different time, when you either knew a little about your car or you walked 4 miles to a service station to call a tow truck.
Now they just pick up the cell phone and call Uber.
Now the task of writing, an incredible exercise for the brain will be eliminated or reduced.
But they sure know their way around a cell phone and would like to hard wire their brain to Insta and TikTok.
Which reminds me... go somewhere cool on Earth, like Santorini or Angkor Watt.
80% of the people there are experiencing these places behind a 6.6" screen, watching pixels instead of reality.
It's like a joke, Santorini... sunset over the Caldera and hundreds of lemmings are holding up their phones...
Sad.

(4,340 posts)Sure a real estate agent should be able to write copy effortlessly, but I can't be expected to replace my car's transmission or starter or anything like that, so if I need to go somewhere I'd call an Uber.
Maybe people in those sites like Santorini are looking at their phones because there is some educational material about the site they're accessing, or maybe they're on a Facetime call to their mom or dad who always wanted to go there so they could see it. Don't be so judgy.

(12,062 posts)OK, I didn't.
But if my car broke down, I'd also call an Uber if the alternative was an unplanned 4 mile walk. A few decades ago, I might have walked simply because I was broke. Now I have enough money and better things to do with my time.

(4,688 posts)The agent is a friend. I will ask if this is becoming more of a thing. We toured a home day before yesterday that had a popular doorbell camera system and were told that it was listening to the interior of the home while we toured with realtor. Does not sound legal to me but they are new and society has not caught up with them yet.
Hey what does that sound like?
