34 co-conspirators taking the "Fifth" may explain why the investigation has taken so long.

That is a huge number of people conspiring to overthrow an election and to put in place their chosen autocrat.

One wonders how long it will take Jack Smith to put the puzzle together in such a large and complex conspiracy?

Once the first indictments come down, and the corner pieces of the puzzle are put together, then the big picture may begin to come into focus?

However, it may take longer than what many are expecting at this time?

... their lack of cooperation in bringing out the truth (even if it has some bearing on their "innocence" of the crime), will not help them. It'll slow the wheels, but it will not stop the train.

I would not be surprised to see this happen in some cases. Taking the 5th is not a get out jail free card. In a way you are admitting you are guilty, hiding something.. When you plead the 5th prosecutors take notice. Let's look at this guy a little closer.

When you take the 5th in front of a grand jury, they take notice.

Having said that, once the first person takes the deal - you don't want to be last in line.

He pled the 5th AFTER getting immunity & got tossed into jail for contempt.
After posting bond, he got out for a bit.
But, most legal experts believe that when the next grand jury session convened he would either talk or go to prison.
The Chicago outfit thought he'd do the former so they iced him.
